A Close Investigation into Authenticity in Academic Read-To-Write Integrated Tasks

This academic essay is an assessed coursework in Teaching English Professional and Academic settings (TEPAS) for taught postgraduate School of Languages, Linguistics, Queen Mary University London (2018). In Purposes (EAP) or Specific (ESP) settings, teaching reading writing integration considered to encourage ‘authenticity’. To discuss above statements a critical way, this first introduces the notion discourse communities EAP illustrates literacy support source texts order exemplify advantages integrated tasks. Then, puts task authenticity under detailed analysis by taking students’ needs communication features professional into consideration.
